When your shipment arrives, inspect it carefully. Look for visible signs of damage to the EXTERIOR of the package. If there is damage, immediately notify the driver. If the driver is not present, photograph the damage prior to opening the item.
For freight deliveries, make note of damage (not including minor blemishes that will be found on vintage furniture and not noted in the items description) on the bill of lading paper work before signing and accepting the shipment. The item must be accepted in order to start any insurance claim process. If a shipment is refused by the buyer, Buyer is responsible for origination and destination shipping fees.
Begin your damage claim within 24-48 hours of receiving the damaged parcel by directly contacting the carrier. They will guide you through the process. If you have any questions during the claims process, contact us.
During the process, it is important that you follow the specific instructions of the carrier or insuring company. It is necessary to do all of this in a timely manner. Keep all of the original packaging material and the purchased merchandise. Submit all the necessary paperwork, your photos, and documents as required. The sooner you get the information to the appropriate person, the faster your claim will be settled.
